This CARA-certified race, now in its 12th year, honors the memory of Lew Blond, an exceptional and dedicated District 30 teacher who passed away from ALS in 2000. This flat, scenic course goes through the Maple School neighborhood. Proceeds benefit ALS research, scholarships for prospective teachers at the Glenbrook High Schools and special District 30 projects. |

Come out and support the two-time NPF Champion, Chicago Bandits take on the amatueur ALS CNMSBL team playing in support of the Les Turner ALS Foundation. A perfect outing for the entire family! There are two ways to get involved: 1. Donate in support of one or more of the amateur players. 2. Come out on Friday, May 4, to enjoy an evening of baseball. There will be kid's games in the Kid's Play Area of the stadium, and an exciting raffle and silent auction featuring restaurants, sports memorbilia and other items. ALS patient and the family of John Stensland will throw out the first pitch of the game at 6:00pm. |
