DESCRIPTION:Since 2001\, the Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk has been a generous Family & Community Event and supporter of the Foundation. Attracting over 1\,000 participants and volunteers in 2016\, the race–held at Maple School– proves to be one of Northbrook’s signature community events. \nStarted in honor of Maple School teacher Lew Blond who passed away from ALS in 2000\, the race serves as an outlet for students and loved ones to cherish his memory. \nTo register visit lewblondrun.org
