Genetic counseling and testing for family members

Progress — 50%

Get a personalized risk assessment

When you meet with your genetic counselor for the first time, they’ll review any materials you’ve shared and ask questions about your family medical history. Based on all this information, your counselor will give you a personalized risk assessment, including basic information about your risk of developing ALS or related conditions. For example, your counselor may be able to tell you that you have a 50% chance of inheriting a genetic risk factor for ALS based on your family history.
