What is clinical research?
Clinical research is the only way for scientists and doctors to better understand ALS and test potential treatment options. Every clinical research study answers a different question about ALS. The more questions that are answered, the closer scientists and doctors get to finding new ways to diagnose, treat, or prevent ALS.
If you decide to participate in clinical research, you can contribute to scientific discoveries that may help people living with ALS now and in the future. Making the decision to participate in clinical research is an important and personal one. Learning more about clinical research — and getting answers to your questions — is the first step toward making the decision that’s right for you.
