Hope Through Caring Gala
Saturday, April 11, 2026
Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago
Thank you for being part of the 2026 Hope Through Caring Gala. With over 500 attendees in person and online, and more than $800,000 raised, the evening brought our community together in support of ALS care, research, and hope.
Highlights from the evening included:
Brian and Lori Andre receiving the Hope Through Caring Award. When Brian was diagnosed with ALS in 2016, he and Lori became dedicated advocates for the ALS community—organizing support groups and raising funds for expanded access programs. As longtime owners of Lori’s Shoes, with four locations across the Chicago area, they have brought energy, commitment, and leadership to the fight against ALS. After nearly a decade living with the disease, they continue to raise awareness, engage their networks, and ensure that people living with ALS and their caregivers have a voice in the future of care.
Dr. John M. Coleman III receiving the Harvey and Bonny Gaffen Advancements in ALS Award. A pulmonary and critical care specialist at the Lois Insolia ALS Clinic at the Les Turner ALS Center at Northwestern Medicine, Dr. Coleman is known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach. He also serves on the Foundation’s Board of Directors and chairs the Support Services Committee, helping ensure that programs reflect the needs and priorities of the ALS community.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Gala such a success. Special thanks to Lisa Kostrzeski and family, and Dr. Andrew Goldberg and family for being part of our annual video.
Your generosity helps the Les Turner ALS Foundation provide compassionate care, fund groundbreaking research, and bring hope to every person and family affected by ALS.
