Lou Gehrig Day

Every summer, Major League Baseball celebrates Lou Gehrig Day at ballparks across the country. Whether you're loyal to the Chicago Cubs or White Sox, we'd love to meet up, honor the Iron Horse, and have a great time together at two games in June.

Thanks for joining us for a day of remembrance, solidarity, and summer fun as we came together in support of the ALS community. The turnout for this year's games was the best yet!

In Conversation with Gehrig biographer Jonathan Eig

To commemorate Lou Gehrig Day, enjoy a special discussion with two longtime friends of the Les Turner ALS Foundation: Jonathan Eig, acclaimed New York Times best-selling author of 'Luckiest Man: The Life and Death of Lou Gehrig,' and Lin Brehmer, longtime DJ at 93WXRT and Chicago baseball fan.

During the 30-minute program, Jonathan talks about what went into writing 'Luckiest Man,' who Lou Gehrig was on and off the field, his diagnosis and battle with ALS, and the lasting legacy of the man forever remembered as the "Iron Horse."
