Team Race for ALS

We're racing for a cure! Whether you're new to running or ready to set a new personal record, there's a place for you on our team.

The funds you raise by participating in these events go toward our mission to provide the most comprehensive care and support to people living with ALS and their families so that they can confidently navigate the disease, and advance scientific research for the prevention, treatment, and cure of ALS.

Limited entries into the Chicago Marathon are available through our team each year, or you can join Team Race for ALS and fundraise with your own marathon entry. You'll get training and fundraising support, official running shirts, and much more.

For more information, please contact Kim Kempf at [email protected].

Early Bird Registration is open now!

The annual Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk honors former Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 teacher Lew Blond, who passed away from ALS in 2000. A portion of the proceeds go to the Les Turner ALS Foundation in Lew’s memory.

There are activities for all age levels including the Little Lew 50-yard dash for children up to six years old. The Lew Blond 5K is a great chance for people of all ability levels to get some exercise, enjoy the sun, and support ALS care and research.

During registration, if you select 'Les Turner ALS Foundation' in the "How did you hear about the Lew Blond Run?" drop-down, the full proceeds from your registration will be donated to the Foundation.
