Support ACT for ALS Renewal

ACT for ALS: Protecting Progress for Our Community

ACT for ALS, passed in 2021 with bipartisan support, marked a turning point for the ALS community. It strengthened research infrastructure, improved coordination across federal agencies, and expanded access to promising therapies for people living with ALS. ACT for ALS has helped build a national research ecosystem through initiatives such as the ALS Knowledge Portal and the ALL ALS Consortium. These efforts enable scientists to share data, identify new treatment targets and increase participation in clinical research.

However, funding only covered a five-year period. Today, to continue that progress, Congress must renew the bill and funding levels for multiple years to come. Without renewal, access to clinical research, emerging treatments, and the systems accelerating research could slow or disappear. Our community fought hard for this progress.

Now we must ensure it continues by urging Congress to renew ACT for ALS.
