Just today, we learned the FDA has approved the first new drug for ALS in 22 years! The new drug is called Radicava and has been demonstrated to slow decline of physical function by 33 percent.

The timing of this announcement is especially relevant because May is ALS Awareness Month. The work you are doing to raise awareness and funds for ALS is making a difference. And today we are seeing that difference in a huge way. The approval of this drug is just the beginning of what we hope to be many steps forward for the ALS community.
