November is National Family Caregivers Month

This month, take a moment to honor the dedication and resilience of caregivers who provide vital support for their loved ones living with ALS. At the Les Turner ALS Foundation, we recognize the unique challenges caregivers face and are here to help every step of the way.

We offer a variety of resources designed specifically for caregivers, including guides to navigate the ALS journey, the Dan Nelson Respite Grant Program to provide much-needed rest, and helpful tip articles aimed at empowering those new to caregiving. Additionally, our caregiver support groups create a safe space for connection and encouragement.

This month, we celebrate and support caregivers for the essential role they play. Explore our resources and let us help you on your journey.

Watch the Les Turner Symposium on ALS

The 2024 Les Turner ALS Symposium brought together leading experts, care providers, and the ALS community to explore advancements in ALS research and care. Whether you joined us in-person or virtually, thank you for making this event such a meaningful experience.

We’re excited to share that a video of the full symposium is now available on our website!

Revisit presentations from renowned speakers like Dr. Angela Genge, who discussed clinical trial innovations, and Dr. Robert Kalb, who shared updates from the Les Turner ALS Center. Learn about Dr. Pietro Fratta’s insights on RNA biology or Dr. Hande Özdinler’s work on upper motor neuron health. Don’t miss the chance to explore these impactful talks and share them with others who might benefit.

“Dr. Genge broke down very complex details about ALS and the many clinical studies and trials,” said Les Turner ALS Foundation CEO, Laura Freveletti. “She drove home the point that every piece of data collected, every study, is another stop closer to uncovering more therapies that will help make ALS a treatable disease.”

The clinical conversations panel was another highpoint of the day. “We learned about biomarkers, the power of early diagnosis, personal experiences with clinical research and the exciting progress we can expect in 2025, said Lauren Webb, Les Turner ALS Foundation Chief Advocacy and Outreach Officer.
