We believe progress is achieved by working together. That’s why we host a variety of educational opportunities throughout the year, increasing awareness and education of ALS locally and nationwide. Coming up towards the end of the year, we are offering exciting and informative ALS education opportunities for our ALS community to take part in:

 

Northwestern’s Second Annual Updates in the Diagnosis and Management of ALS

This program offers participants a unique opportunity for physicians, nurses and health care professionals to hear from expert clinician leaders from the Lois Insola ALS Clinic at the Les Turner ALS Center at Northwestern Medicine and the Les Turner ALS Foundation. Attendees will be introduced to the multidisciplinary care at the center of taking care of ALS patients, and will hear from the health professionals elongating and improving the quality of life of these patients.

ALS News You Can Use Education Meeting
Complementary and Alternative Medicine Therapies for Patients with ALS

Jinny Tavee, MD is an associate professor and the medical director of the neuromuscular division at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Tavee will discuss how nutrition, exercise and mind-body therapies can help patients with ALS as well as their caregivers. Our Support Services Team will be there to help answer questions about incorporating Dr. Tavee’s techniques into a comprehensive care plan.
