Join our 10th Annual Les Turner Symposium on ALS

Registration is now open for our 10th Annual Symposium, hosted by our own Les Turner ALS Center at Northwestern Medicine. This year’s event will be held virtually on Nov, 9, and features presentations from leading ALS researchers and clinicians from both inside and outside the Center.

We are excited to present Sabrina Paganoni, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and physician-scientist at the Healey Center for ALS at Massachusetts General Hospital, as our keynote speaker.

Dr. Paganoni is co-principal investigator of the HEALEY ALS Platform Trial, which is currently enrolling at our Lois Insolia ALS Clinic. Join us on November 9 via livestream for the Les Turner Symposium on ALS>>

Virtual Support Groups Just a Click Away!

Earlier this year, we moved all four of our monthly Les Turner ALS Foundation support groups online. We knew, especially in times like this, the peer support and safe space offered at our groups were an important resource for people living with ALS and their families and friends.

A support group can help members cope better and feel less isolated as they are surrounded by others who are undergoing similar situations. “We had a rough week and it was very helpful for us to meet everyone and be a part of this group,” shared one recent attendee.

All support group meetings are free of charge and open to people living with ALS, family members, caregivers and friends. Learn more and register to attend a support group here>>

Last Day to Register for NEALS ALS Clinical Research Learning Institute

Today is the final day to register for the 10th Annual NEALS ALS Clinical Research Learning Institute (CRLI), taking place virtually October 2 – 3. This annual two-day program is dedicated to educating attendees on clinical research and therapy development and empowering them to be advocates for ALS clinical research.

Over 350 people have trained to become ALS Research Ambassadors, including several from our Les Turner ALS family. Patients, caregivers, and surviving family members are encouraged to apply.

Applications should be submitted to Carly Allen at callen@neals.org by today, September 1. Download your application here>>
