Join the World’s Longest Turkey Trot

Years ago, ultra-marathoner Alfredo Perro said to his friend Scott Kummer that he wanted to run one last 100-mile race before the end of the year. Scott and Alfredo decided to simply run from the Chicago Bean to the city of Milwaukee for a roughly 100-mile turkey trot on Black Friday. They called it the “World’s Longest Turkey Trot.”

Soon after, Alfredo was diagnosed with ALS and lost his battle with the disease in November of 2015. Every year, runners have carried on Alfredo’s tradition in his honor.

This year, the Turkey Trot will be virtual and organizers are calling on all runners to join!

From November 26-29, participants will run as many miles as possible while raising awareness and money for ALS. Sign up to run in the “World’s Longest Turkey Trot” here>>
