Fundraising Crunch Time

With only ten days left till the Les Turner ALS Walk for Life, the countdown starts now for a final push for fundraising. Luckily, there are many ways to quickly spread the word and take your team over the top.

We are so excited to see everyone on Walk day! We thank everyone for your hard work with fundraising and spreading the word. Let’s get to it!

Celebrate Your Success With Fundraising Incentives

Encourage your team to level up their fundraising to earn more exciting fundraising incentives.

Fundraising incentives are cumulative, so those who raise over $1,000 will receive all three prizes.

We are also introducing a team captain exclusive for captains that raise $1,500 or more!

Email us if you have any questions.

Walker Spotlight: Ken Hoffman

Ken has been proudly walking in the ALS Walk for Life since its second year.

In 2003, Ken lost his mother, Harriet, to ALS . Now his team, Thumbs Up for Harriet, walks for her and everyone living with ALS.

Ken is grateful for the support he’s received from his friends and family in his fundraising. He also boosts his fundraising through his workplace’s matching gifts program.

“More recently, social media has played a significant role in spreading the word on the walk and attracting new donors,” he says.

Facebook Fundraisers

Facebook fundraisers are one of the easiest and most effective ways to achieve your fundraising goal. And with the ability to connect your Facebook fundraiser directly to your participant center, it’s a breeze!

Money collected through Facebook fundraisers will only accumulate in your Walk page fundraising total if the Facebook fundraiser was created through your participant center.

Elevate Your Messaging: Use Our Email Templates

Your participant center is equipped to make sending emails easy.

Through your participant center, you can send emails using one of our many pre-written email templates to ask for donations, ask people to join your team, and more.

In your participant center, you can also keep track of who you’ve emailed, who has donated, and who you’ve thanked all in one place.

 Employee Matching

Want to increase your Walk fundraising with ease? Many employers will match a portion of the money their employees raise for charity.

Our website has a tool to help you check if your workplace participates. It only takes a moment to check. See if your employer will match your donations!
