Hard earned victory in ALS advocacy
We’re proud to share that ALS has been recommended for $40 million in federal research funding through the Department of Defense for Fiscal Year 2025. Veterans are twice as likely to develop ALS as non-veterans, yet the cause remains unknown. This critical investment supports clinical trials, care strategies, and innovative research aimed at finding effective treatments.
This victory comes during a challenging year for medical research funding, making every dollar count. We’re grateful to the Members of Congress who championed this effort—and to our ALS community for continuing to raise its voice.
Submit your tribute to a loved one
We invite you to take part in our new Celebration of Life Memorial Wall—a space dedicated to honoring those who have bravely faced ALS.
This living tribute goes beyond remembrance. It’s a way to celebrate the love, strength, and impact your loved one shared with the world. Whether it’s a memory, a story, or something special you want them to be remembered for, your words help keep their spirit alive.
The Memorial Wall is an ongoing collection of reflections and celebrations, showing that even in the face of ALS, lives can be lived fully and meaningfully.
To contribute, simply complete the form and upload a photo. Your tribute will be added to the wall and can be shared with friends and family.

Our ALS Support Groups
Navigating ALS is never easy—but you don’t have to go through it alone. The Les Turner ALS Foundation offers free, virtual support groups led by professional facilitators who are here to help you feel understood and supported every step of the way.
Our support groups are open to people living with ALS, those newly diagnosed, caregivers, and those grieving the loss of a loved one. These sessions provide a safe, welcoming space to connect with others who truly understand what you’re facing.
Whether you’re sharing your own story or listening to others, support groups offer comfort, guidance, and the reminder that you’re not alone. Many find strength and healing simply by being in community with others who “get it.”
