The ALS CRLI is an annual two-day program dedicated to educating attendees on clinical research and therapy development and empowering this group to be advocates for ALS clinical research. Certification as an ALS Research Ambassador provides attendees with the opportunity to influence and improve the ALS research process.

Speaking Out for Those Who Can’t

In 2010, when Lisa Cohen was just 42 years old, she last spoke in what she calls her “normal voice” telling her husband, Dave and their children, Ashley and Brandon, “I love you.”

“I had no idea that it would be the last time they would ‘hear’ those words ‘spoken’ by me,” shared Lisa. Those words fueled Lisa to write personal letters to friends, family and local businesses for her “Speak Out” campaign.

In these deeply personal letters, Lisa shares her journey and encourages the recipients to join and “speak out for us.” Her efforts have raised over $10,000!

We are immensely grateful to Lisa and all those joining her campaign. Your effort ensures no one living with this disease is without hope or without help. If you’re interested in fundraising in support of our Les Turner ALS family, let us know>>

Hope Through Caring, Together at Home

As we kick off 2021, we look ahead to the exciting possibilities and events on the horizon.

One such opportunity is our Virtual Hope Through Caring Gala on Saturday, March 20, where we will honor two extraordinary people living with ALS – Steve Gleason and Bob Ives.

“This annual event is always so wonderful and magical,” shared Paul Lisnek of WGN-TV, this year’s Gala emcee.

Our 2021 Gala will be accessible in a way like never before! Not only can you join from the comfort of your home, but you will enjoy musical entertainment, a virtual auction, and even have the option to add a deliverable dinner package (30-mile radius) for the evening. As always, people living with ALS and a caregiver are welcome to attend as our guests. Learn more about this year’s Gala and how you can be a part of the event>>
